Why it exists. Most small businesses in Canada run on a spreadsheet for customers, a notebook for orders, an inbox full of invoice PDFs and a shoebox of receipts. The tools that could replace all of that were built for other countries first, so Canadian sales tax, provincial rates and CRA-ready records are an afterthought. Hakkuu starts from the Canadian side: GST, HST, PST and QST by province, tax shown as its own line, and receipts that keep the tax separate so it is ready at filing time.

What it is today. A web app that works on any screen, phone included. Customers, quotes your customer can accept from a link, invoices with reminders that send themselves during business hours, inventory that counts itself down as you sell, expenses with receipt scanning, and a dashboard that shows net income, cash flow and what you are owed. Team members with roles, an audit log of every change, daily off-site backups and CSV export of everything.

What is next. iOS and Android apps are in development, with the same live numbers and receipt scanning from the camera roll. We publish what ships when it ships, not before.
